Step-by-Step Instructions to Make English Muffin Pizza
- Cut 4 English muffins in half and place them on the sheet pan. For extra crispiness, pre-toast the muffins first.
- Preheat the oven to 375.
- Spread pizza sauce generously onto each muffin half.
- Cut the mozzarella into slices and add one to each muffin.
- Add pepperoni to each muffin.
- Top off the pizza by sprinkling shredded cheese over each one.
- Bake in the oven until the cheese is melted and the sides are crisp (10-15 minutes).
Can you make these English muffin pizzas gluten-free?
Yes! All you need is to swap out regular English muffins for gluten-free muffins for a delicious gluten-free treat. Walmart has Glutino gluten-free muffins that make a great substitute, or you can try another brand that works for you.
Can these be made without dairy?
Absolutely. Swap out the mozzarella and shredded cheese for a dairy-free cheese of your choice. So far, I’ve found that Daiya has the best vegan cheese but I’m still on the lookout for other options.
How to Customize Your English Muffin Pizza
If you’re craving an English muffin pizza with a twist, there is an endless amount of ways you can customize them and change up the recipe. For the sauce, you can swap the pizza sauce for bbq, buffalo, white sauce, or anything else that strikes your fancy.
You can also make a vegetarian option by adding vegetables like peppers, mushrooms, and onions on top, or swap the pepperoni for bacon and add veggies for a deluxe-style pizza.
